This car competed in one of the Scratch Races at the Richard Seaman Memorial Trophy Meeting organised by the VSCC at Donington Park in June 2003. It's a 1939 Frazer Nash BMW, and the programme of the event says this about the car:
'Alastair Pugh's 328 BMW (93) is a car that changed the way sports cars would be made with its 6-cylinder 2 litre engine, tubular frame and independent front suspension.'
The Frazer Nash company, AFN Ltd, started to import and assemble BMW cars in 1934 and sold them under the name of Frazer Nash-BMW. You can read about the BMW 328 here.
