This car took part in the HSCC Classic Racing Cars Championship race at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2002. The race included cars in six different classes and this car was in Class E2 (single seater racing cars built and raced between 1.1.66 and 31.12.70 up to 1600cc, 2 valves per cylinder).
It's a 1966 Cooper T82 with a 1-litre BRM engine which was built to compete in the 1966 European Formula 2 Championship. Here it's being prepared in the paddock prior to the start of racing......
......and here's what it looks like when it's been put back together again. It was driven in the race that day by Paul Busby of Melton Mowbray.
