McLaren M1B

The SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2006 included the 1 hour long Sports Racing Masters race, and this is one of the cars that took part in that race.
It's a 1966 5 litre McLaren M1B, driven in the race by Richard Dodkins.
Here's Richard Dodkins at Redgate corner during the morning practice session.

On 8 January 2015 I showed a photograph of the McLaren M1B of Chris Goodwin at the Oulton Park Gold Cup meeting of August 2012.

Friday's Ferrari

This car took part in the Cheshire Building Society Allcomers Race at the Richard Seaman Memorial Trophies meeting at Oulton Park in July 1987.
It's the 1960 Ferrari Dino 246 F1 of Neil Corner, original serial number 0007, renumbered 0788FT in 1961 when used for Tasman racing, then back to 0788F when restored to original specification. Along with the Aston Martin DBR4 and Scarab F1 car this was one of the last of the front-engined Formula One cars, made obsolete by the rear-engined revolution started by Cooper a couple of years earlier.

AC Ace

This car competed in the race for 1950s Drum-Braked Sports Racing Cars at the SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2005.
It's the 1955 AC Ace of John Arnold, previously campaigned by Ken Rudd's racing team and when H&H Classic Car Auctioneers had it up for sale in 2008 they produced this history of the car. The AC Ace was developed from the Tojeiro Bristol of Cliff Davies and this is one of the early cars, fitted with a 2 litre AC engine while later cars had a quicker Bristol unit fitted. Ken Rudd's team adapted the 2.6 litre Ford Zephyr engine for use in the AC Ace, but not many of those cars were built before Carroll Shelby had the idea of putting a big Ford V8 engine in the car which became the AC Cobra.

Chevrolet El Camino

I saw this vehicle a few days ago on my daily walk down into Hyde town centre and it's not a vehicle that I've seen previously around Hyde.
It's a Chevrolet El Camino, a vehicle that was produced between 1959 and 1987, except for 3 years in the early 1960s, and the registration number suggests that it was first registered between 1 August 1984 and 31 July 1985.
That would make it one of the last El Caminos made, a Fifth Generation model.
It has the 4.3 litre (262 cu in) Chevrolet V6 engine.
