This car competed in two rounds of the Shell Historic Ferrari Maserati Challenge series at the VSCC's Richard Seaman Memorial Trophies meeting at Donington Park in June 2003.
It's John May's 1951 6-cylinder inline 1,985cc Maserati A6GCM, a car created for Formula 2 racing, but which competed in World Drivers Championship races in 1952 and 1953 when these were run to Formula 2 regulations. Only 12 examples of this model were built, several of which were later converted to Maserati 250F specifications, and this one is chassis #2033. On 18 July 2017 I showed a photograph of this car that I'd taken at Silverstone in July 2000.
