This is one of the cars I photographed at the Footman James Classic Car Show Manchester at EventCity in September 2017.
It's a 1950 Ford Pilot, powered by a 3.6 litre Flathead V8 engine which was essentially the same engine used by the 1937/38 American Ford cars. The Pilot was in production from 1947 to 1951 and was the largest British Ford, alongside the smaller Anglia and Prefect models. It was replaced by the Ford Zephyr in 1951.
