Brabham BT14

The Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2008 included a race for Classic Racing Cars that included classes for most types of single seater racing cars, and the car below competed as a Class C car: 'Single seater racing cars over 500cc built and raced before 31/12/66'.
It's Rodger Newman's 1965 Brabham BT14, chassis FL-6-65, with a 1,498cc engine according to the programme of the event. The BT14 was designed for the then popular Formula Libre racing (hence the 'FL' in the chassis designation) but was raced in period, and since, with a variety of mainly Ford engines in different racing categories, even with a 1½ litre engine in Formula One races during 1965.

Williams FW16

This car was on display in the paddock at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1994.
It's a 1994 Williams FW16, the type of car with which Damon Hill finished in second place in the 1994 World Championship to Michael Schumacher's Benetton B194. Williams won the Constructors' Championship though, thanks to the efforts of David Coulthard and Nigel Mansell. Damon Hill won six of the sixteen races that season in the 3½ litre V10 Renault-engined car, and Nigel Mansell won the final race in Australia. The German Grand Prix took place at Hockenheimring on the same weekend as this Coys meeting at Silverstone.

Jaguar E-Type Lightweight

I photographed this car at the SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2006 where it may have competed in the GT Class in the Sports Racing Masters race, but it isn't listed as a competitor in the programme of the event.
It looks like a Jaguar E-Type Lightweight, of which 12 were built in 1963/64. Checking through the chassis numbers of the Lightweight cars (850658 to 850669) I find that only two were built with a fixed-head body - 850662, the Lindner/Nocker car, and 850663, the Lumsden/Sargent car - and this car most closely resembles 850662, which had the registration number 4868 WK. I've found photographs of replicas of the Lindner/Nocker car, however, and it appears that 5497 WK may be one of these. Peter Lindner, incidentally, was killed driving his E-Type in an accident at Montlhéry in 1964, and the car's race number was 16. The car was wrecked, but not rebuilt until 2011 - so it can't have been the car I photographed in 2006. In 2014 Jaguar announced that they were to build a further 6 Lightweights, and I've seen photographs of the first of these, but I've not yet seen that all 6 have been completed.

Franziss Special

This car took part in two races, including the one for the Boulogne Trophy, at the VSCC's meeting at Oulton Park in June 2006.
It's Roger Sweet's 1928/18 Franziss Special, created by Roger Sweet himself in the spirit of earlier VSCC Specials, with a Frazer Nash chassis and a 9 litre V8 Curtiss OX-5 aero engine.

Friday's Ferrari

This car took part in the Shell Ferrari Historical Challenge race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1997.
According to the programme of the event car number 1 is Engelbert Stieger's 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO, which was due to be driven in the race by Christoph Stieger, but the number 1 above is Engelbert Stieger's 3 litre 1972 Ferrari 312PB, chassis #0888. The blue car number 51 at the top left of the photograph is Engelbert Stieger's 3 litre 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO which took part in the Coys of Kensington Ferrari GT race and is chassis #3589GT, and the number 38 car at the side of the 312PB is Ernst Schuster's 2 litre 1956 Ferrari 500 TRC, chassis #0660MDTR, which also took part in the Shell Ferrari Historical Challenge race.

Maserati 250F

Maserati was the featured marque at the SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2005, and particularly the 250F Formula 1 car of the 1950s. Twelve examples of this model, together with a few pre-war cars, took part in a special Celebration Maserati Invitation Race and pictured below is one of the cars that took part.
The programme of the event records that, with the exception of the Bugatti Type 35, the Maserati 250F had the highest production of any other Grand Prix car with 28 built, plus twelve further replicas. This car is one of those replicas, one of the ten built by Cameron Miller, and is chassis CM8. The car was at that time owned by Georg Kaufmann and driven in the race (and also the Ron Flockhart Memorial Trophy race) by Hansruedi Portmann.

Maserati 3500 GT

This car was in the Maserati Club's display area at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1993.
It's a Maserati 3500 GT and the registration plate appears to be from the Republic of Ireland. The 3500GT was produced by Maserati from 1957 to 1964 with a 3½ litre straight-6 engine and a body designed by Carrozzeria Touring. This particular car's chassis number is 101-1172.
