1960 Maserati 3500GT

I photographed this car in the Maserati Club's area at the Coys International Historical Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1994.

It's a 1960 Maserati 3500GT, a model that was produced between 1959 and 1964, and was powered by the 6-cylinder inline 3,485cc Tipo 101 engine developed from that of the Maserati 350S racing car of 1956. The coachwork was designed by Carrozzeria Touring and the car had an aluminium body attached to a tubular steel frame.

1967 Maserati Mistral

I photographed this car in the Maserati Club's area at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1994.

It's a 1967 Maserati Mistral Spyder with a twin-plug double overhead cam straight-6 engine of 4,014cc. A total of 953 Mistrals were built, 828 of them Coupés and 125 Spyders, only 20 of which were right-hand drive like this one.

Maserati Sebring

This car was in the area set aside for the Maserati Club at the Christie's International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1992.

It's a 1964 Maserati Sebring Series I, a car that was introduced in 1962 eventually replacing the 3500 GT which had been in production since 1957. It had the same 3½ litre straight-6 engine, but with fuel injection, and when the Series II car was introduced in 1965 alternative 3.7 litre and 4 litre engines were available.

Maserati 3500 GT

This car was in the Maserati Club's display area at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1993.

It's a Maserati 3500 GT and the registration plate appears to be from the Republic of Ireland. The 3500GT was produced by Maserati from 1957 to 1964 with a 3½ litre straight-6 engine and a body designed by Carrozzeria Touring. This particular car's chassis number is 101-1172.

Maserati Barchetta

The car below was amongst the cars displayed by the Maserati Club in the area set aside for the various owners' clubs at the Silverstone Historic Festival meeting in August 2001.

The Maserati Club

At many historic car race meetings there are areas set aside for various car clubs to gather and put on a display of their members' cars. Here are some photographs of one such display, by the Maserati Club, at the Silverstone Classic meeting of July 2010.

1974 Maserati Quattroporte MkII Prototype

1954 OSCA MT4 - built by the Maserati brothers who had started the OSCA company in 1947 after fulfilling their contract with Adolfo Orsi, to whom they had sold the Maserati company.

1963 Maserati 5000 GT

1964 Cooper T61 Maserati - a Cooper Monaco T61 with a 4.9 litre Maserati V8 engine which was driven in the 1-hour Italian Historic Car Cup race at this meeting by the owner, Michael O'Shea, partnered by Roberto Giordanelli.
