2016 Ford Mustang

This is a photograph that I took in a supermarket car park in Hyde in June 2023.
It’s a 2016 Ford Mustang and has a 4-cylinder inline 2,261cc engine. The first Ford Mustang was produced in 1964 and BD16 YSA is a sixth generation model which was introduced in 2013.

1951 Jaguar XK120

This car took part in the HSCC Historic Road Sports Championship race at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2004.
It's the 1951 Jaguar XK120 of Melvyn Floyd, originally built with a 6-cylinder inline 3,441cc engine, but having a 3.8 litre engine according to the programme of the event.
Here's the car at Foulstons chicane during the race leading the 1967 Ford Mustang of Adam Simmonds. He is followed by the 1973 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV of Jonathan Hartop and (I think) the 1971 Lotus Elan of Richard Lawson.

Little and Large

I took this photograph at Lodge Corner during the Historic Racing Saloons Championship Race at the HSCC's Historic Race Meeting at Oulton Park in June 2001.
Number 88 is the 1,293cc 1966 Morris Cooper S of Norman Grimshaw, and number 8 is the 4,727cc 1965 Ford Mustang of Peter Hallford. I don't know who's overtaking who here - the Minis had a reputation for lagging behind the larger engined cars on the straights then overtaking them when they got to the corners.

Ford Mustang

About four months ago I took a couple of photographs of a car I spotted at Salford Quays.

It's a sixth generation Ford Mustang GT - although the car was only unveiled in 2013 the '61' in the number plate would normally indicate a car registered between 1 September 2011 and 29 February 2012.
Here's another one I spotted in Hyde a couple of weeks ago - this also has a number plate that doesn't relate to its age: the 'T' on the number plate indicates vehicles first registered between 1 March 1999 and 31 August 1999.

It's a 1966 Ford Mustang and a line-up of cars of one of the AC or Cobra Owners Clubs.
