This is another of the vehicles I photographed in the Pallot Museum in Jersey when we visited in May 2013.
It's a 1940s Morris Series Z van, derived from the Morris 8 car, and I remember that many of these vehicles saw service in the Royal Mail and Post Office Telephone fleets.
My Father used to drive one of these as a postman at Hayes sorting office in the 50s. Reg NLW 80, wonder if its survived???
ReplyDeleteOnly just seen this. You can check UK car registrations on this DVLA site: https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ - for NLW 80 is says 'Vehicle details could not be found' so presumably it no longer exists.
