1981 Reliant Scimitar GTE SE6B

I took this photograph at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2018.

It's a 1981 Reliant Scimitar GTE SE6B, and the main difference between the SE6A and the SE6B is that the 3 litre Ford Essex V6 engine in the earlier car was replaced by the 2.8 litre Ford Cologne V6.

1995 Porsche 968 RS Turbo

I took these photographs at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s meeting at Oulton Park in May 2018.

It's a 1995 Porsche 968 RS Turbo which has a 4-cylinder inline 3 litre engine and is a restyled version of the Porsche 944.

2015 Seat Leon Eurocup

I took this photograph during qualifying for the Aston Martin GT Challenge race at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s meeting at Oulton Park in May 2017.

It’s the 2015 Seat Leon Eurocup of James Sturges which has a 4-cylinder inline turbocharged 1,984cc engine.

1952 Aston Martin DB2

This car competed in two races at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2015.

It's The Reed family's 1952 Aston Martin DB2 which the programme of the event says has the 2,992cc engine that was introduced with the DB3S in 1953. Its first race that day was the AMOC '50s Sports Car race when it was driven by David Reed, but this photograph shows it at Lodge Corner being driven by David Reed's wife, Mrs Anne Reed, during practice for the Equipe GTS Race.

Emeryson 500cc F3

This car competed in the '500cc Formula 3 Cars' class in the Historic Formula Junior Championship race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's Autumn Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1992.

It's a front-wheel drive 500cc Formula 3 Emeryson but it's not listed in the programme of the event, so sadly I don't know who owned the car or who drove it that day.

1962 Morgan Plus 4

I took this photograph at Druids Corner during qualifying for the Equipe Pre ’63 race at the Aston Martin Owners club’s meeting at Oulton Park in May 2018.

It’s Mark Hoble in his 1962 Morgan Plus 4 which the programme of the event says has a 1,962cc engine. They may have confused the engine capacity with the date of manufacture as the Plus 4 was provided with a variety of engines of around 2 litres, but none of them with a capacity of 1,962cc.

1981 Triumph TR8

This is a car that I found in the paddock at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s meeting at Oulton Park in May 2017.

It a 1981 Triumph TR8, a car based on the 2 litre Triumph TR7, but with a 3,528cc Rover V8 engine.

2010 Aston Martin GT4

This is a photograph that I took during the early morning qualifying for the Aston Martin GT Challenge race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2017.

It's Robin Marriott in his 2010 Aston Martin GT4 which is an updated version of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N24 and has a 4,735cc V8 engine.

1954 Maserati 250F

This is a photograph that I took at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s Autumn Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1992.

It's indistinguishable from a 1950s Maserati 250F, but it's one of 12 replicas built by Cameron Millar and this one has the chassis number CM8. Cameron Millar acquired a genuine Maserati 250F in 1964 (originally 2501, later renumbered 2523) which he kept and raced for 8 years. In this time he purchased all the remaining cars and spare parts belonging to the Scuderia Centro Sud who had competed with the 250F in the 1950s, and also the chassis jigs from the Maserati factory. He then set about creating this series of replicas, using as far as possible genuine period parts, which are so well crafted that the FIA has allowed them to race alongside the genuine Maserati 250F and its contemporaries in competitive historic racing event. It was driven in the Historic Car Championship Race at this meeting by the owner Robin Lodge.

1994 Porsche 993

This is a photograph that I took at Druids Corner during qualifying for the Intermarque Championship race at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s meeting at Oulton Park in May 2015.

It’s the 1994 Porsche 993 of Stephen and Felix Archer which is a fourth generation model of the Porsche 911 and has a 3,600cc flat-six boxer engine.

1953 Jaguar C-Type

This car competed in the Jack Fairman Cup race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2018.

It's David Brazell’s 1953 Jaguar C-Type which has the 3,442cc 6-cylinder inline Jaguar XK engine.

It's actually a replica based on a 1952 Jaguar XK120, chassis no. 672178.

1971 Aston Martin DBS V8

I took this photograph at the Knickerbrook chicane during the 45 minute long AMOC Intermarque Championship race at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s meeting at Oulton Park in May 2015 where it was driven by Paul and Clive Hipwell.

It's a 1973 Aston Martin V8, with a 5,340cc V8 engine designed by Tadek Marek. Introduced in 1969 as the DBS V8, 4,021 cars were produced between then and 1989, the name changing in 1972 to the Aston Martin V8 and eventually to the AM V8.

1959 MGA

This car competed in the Jack Fairman Cup race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2018.

It's David Godwin's MGA, a car that was produced from 1955 to 1962. The MGA had a 4-cylinder inline engine, originally of 1,489cc, increasing in size twice and ending up with the 1,622cc unit of the Mark II. The programme of the event says that David Godwin's car has a 1,654cc engine.

Aston Martin DP214 Replica

I took this photograph at the Knickerbrook chicane during the AMOC '50s Sports Cars race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2015.

It's the Aston Martin DP214 replica of Robert Rawe, one of three replicas of the DP214 which had contested the Le Mans 24 Hour race in 1963 and 1964 and other long distance sports car races during those years - though one of the cars was destroyed in an accident during practice for the 1964 1000 Kilometres race at the Nürburgring. Robert Rawe's car was based on a 1961 Aston Martin DB4 and  has a 6-cylinder inline 3,760cc engine.

1958 Lister Jaguar

This car competed in the Historic Car Championship Race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's Autumn Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1992 and I took the photograph during a practice session.

 It's the 1958 Lister Jaguar of the late Steve O'Rourke, former manager of the Pink Floyd rock band. The car has the 3,781cc version of the 6-cylinder inline Jaguar XK6 engine. Originally a works car, chassis BHL2, it was sold at the end of 1959 and eventually ended up with Mike Wright who competed with the car but wrote it off in a road accident. The remains in time came to John Pearson who used the parts to construct a replica which was sold to Steve O'Rourke in 1989.

Friday's Ferrari

I took this photograph at the Knickerbrook chicane during the Aston Martin GT Challenge race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2017.

It's a 2009 Ferrari F430 Challenge and was driven in the 50 minute long race by Richard Cook and Harvey Stanley. The Ferrari F430 Challenge, which has a 4,308cc V8 engine, replaced the 360 Challenge and was produced from 2007 to 2010, being succeeded by the 458 Challenge.

1958 Jaguar XK150S

I took this photograph of Marc Gordon in his 1958 Jaguar XK150S at Druids Corner during the morning qualifying for the Equipe Pre ’63 race at the Aston Martin Owners Club’s meeting at Oulton Park In May 2018.

The XK150 was introduced in 1957 and followed the XK120 and XK140, being succeeded in 1961 by the E-Type. It was powered by the 6-cylinder inline 3,781cc Jaguar XK engine.

1971 Aston Martin DBS V8

It's Mike Dowd in his 2008 BMW M3 GT4 which has a 4 litre V8 engine.

1965 Austin Healey

This car competed in the Equipe GTS race at the Aston Martin Owners Club's meeting at Oulton Park in May 2015.

It's the 1965 Austin Healey Sprite Ashley GT driven in the 30 minute long race by Allan and Neil Cameron and has a 1,293cc engine.
