Friday's Ferrari

This car took part in the Shell Ferrari Historical Challenge race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1998.

It's the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO of Swiss driver Nicolaus Springer, chassis #4153GT with the Gioacchino Colombo 2,953cc V12 engine. Its original owner was Pierre Dumay who finished in fourth place with it in the 1963 Le Mans 24 Hour Race in the colours of Ecurie Francorchamps partnered by Léon Dernier.

Friday's Ferrari

This car competed in the Shell Historic Ferrari Maserati Challenge race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1999.

Car number 95 is the 1972 Ferrari 312P, serial number #0888, of Englebert Stieger. There's no number 95 in the programme of the event but Christoph Stieger was down to drive number 55, a Ferrari 250 GTO, and appears to have driven the 312P instead. The silver car behind it is Nicolaus Springer’s 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO, serial number #4153GT, which was driven in the race by Peter Bradfield and Andrew Hall with the race number 159.

Friday's Ferrari

This is a scene inside a pit garage at Silverstone in July 1999 at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting. All three of these cars took part in the Shell Historic Ferrari Maserati Challenge race.

Car number 95 is the 1972 Ferrari 312P, serial number 0888, of Englebert Stieger. Car number 76 is a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4, serial number 16363, owned and driven that day by Nicolaus Springer, who also owned the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO behind it, serial number 4153GT which was driven in the race by Peter Bradfield and Andrew Hall.

Friday's Ferrari

This is the 1956 Ferrari 410S of Brazilian Carlos Monteverde seen at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1998.
