1969 Ford Mustang

This is a photograph that I took at the local Shell filling station in Hyde in September 2019.
It’s a 1969 Ford Mustang, a First Generation car which was produced from 1964 to 1973. It has the 6-cylinder inline 200 cu in (3,277cc) engine.

  1. I have been following you for a while. This post is incorrect. Mustangs first generation where 64/65/66. This car falls in the second generation category. Funny it’s showing Boss 302 call outs which is a V8 not a 200 6? Ford never offered a Boss convertible.

    1. Thanks for your comments. This shows the problem with relying on the DVLA record and Wikipedia. The DVLA record says that the car was built in 1969 and has a 3300cc engine, whilst the Wikipedia entry shows that the second generation car was introduced in 1974, so I put 2 and 2 together and seem to have come up with the wrong answer.
