MV Snowdrop

I took this photograph at Salford Quays in August 2015.
It's the Mersey Ferry, Snowdrop, in dazzle livery designed by Sir Peter Blake for the Liverpool Biennial Festival. Ships were originally given a dazzle camouflage livery during the First World War, not to hide them away, but to make it difficult for enemy U-boats to estimate their distance, speed and direction of travel. Snowdrop made a series of cruises from Liverpool to Salford Quays in August and September 2015.
