Leyland National

This was one of the entrants in the Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally at Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1996 organised by the Greater Manchester Transport Society.

It's a 1972 Leyland National and the programme of the event said this about the vehicle:

The Leyland National was designed to be the standard bus of the 1970's.  This bus was the very first

to come off the production line and was numbered as an experimental bus by S.E.L.N.E.C. Only the

early examples had two doors. Withdrawn 1983.
