Maserati 250F

On 19 Feb 2014 I showed some photographs of the Maserati 250F of David Wenman that took part in the Flockhart Trophy Race at the VSCC's SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in June 2008. Here's a photograph of another 250F that took part in the race.
It's Charles McCabe's 1955 Maserati 250F, here seen in the pit lane during a practice session. It's chassis number CM1, one of (I believe) 12 Maserati 250F's built by Cameron Millar. He had acquired all the Centro Sud spare parts in 1967 and built up the cars, the later ones having a decreasing percentage of original parts.

Friday's Ferrari

Here's one of the 32 cars in a special Ferrari display at the Christie's International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1992.
It's a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/C, and this is what the programme of the event said about this car:

15      275 GTB/C
Front engined V12; 3.3 litres; 280bhp at 7500rpm; Independent
suspension all round double wishbones/coil springs. Ferrari built
11 275 GTB/C's in 1966. They had dry sump engines very close in
build to those of the 250LM's but with 3 carburettors instead of 6.
Scaglietti built special lightweight aluminium bodies - 1mm thick -
for these cars. Started with Maranello Concessionaires. 1st in
class/8th overall, Le Mans 1966 (Roy Pike/Piers Courage). To Paul
Vestey later in year, 6th overall at Montlhery 1966 (Vestey/Gaspar).
14th overall, 1st in class Monza 1000 Kms 1967 (Vestey/Gaspar).

The car is serial number 09035 66 and in 1992 was owned by Lord Beaverbrook.

Jaguar XK120

This is a car that was on display at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2004.
It's Ian Appleyard's 1950 Jaguar XK120, most famous for its exploits in the Alpine Rally, where it won a Coupe des Alpes (Alpine Cup) in 1950, which was awarded for finishing the event unpenalised. Ian Appleyard repeated this feat with the car in 1951 and 1952, thus being awarded a Coupe d'Or (Gold Cup) for winning a Coupe des Alpes in three consecutive years. He also won the RAC Rally and the Tulip Rally in 1951 with NUB 120.

Cooper T25 'Cooperati'

This car took part in the HGPCA Race for Pre-1959 Drum-Braked Sports Cars at the HGPCA's Donington International Grand Prix meeting of May 2004 at Donington Park.
It's shown in the programme of the event as a 1954 Cooper T25 'Cooperati' with a 1971cc engine. This car was built by Cooper for Syd Greene's Gilby Engineering, who had been running a Maserati A6GCS for Roy Salvadori since 1953 which had become uncompetitive. The Maserati engine was fitted to the Cooper and the car was campaigned by Roy Salvadori and Alan Brown during the 1955 season, after which the Maserati engine was removed and the Cooper sold to Horace Gould. Horace Gould installed a Bristol engine and went to New Zealand with the car which then remained in that part of the world till the mid-1980s when it returned to the UK. The 'Cooperati' name is a reminder of its time with a Maserati engine. The car was driven at the Donington Park meeting by the owner, Eddie McGuire.
