1953 Jaguar C-Type

I photographed this car in the paddock at a Lancashire and Cheshire Car Club meeting at Oulton Park in October 1956.

It's the 1953 Jaguar C-Type of Max Trimble, chassis XKC046, with a 6-cylinder inline 3,441cc engine. The car was campaigned by Ecurie Ecosse in 1953 before it went to Berwyn Baxter the following season and Max Trimble acquired the car in 1956.

Ford Model A

This car is pictured in the Exchange Station car park in Manchester before the start of the LAC's annual Manchester to Blackpool Veteran and Vintage Car Run in May 1992.

It's not listed in the programme of the event, but it's a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe which the DVLA say has an engine of 3.2 litres. The website of the Model A Ford Club of Great Britain says that it was built in Canada in 1930 and has a 24hp engine.

Jowett Jupiter R4

This is a photograph I took at an Oulton Park meeting in the late 1950s I think, as it's one I took with my old Kodak Brownie 127 camera. I don't know the year or the event, but it was a club meeting, probably the Mid-Cheshire Motor Racing Club or the Lancashire & Cheshire Car Club.

It's a 1953 Jowett Jupiter R4 sports car with the 1,486cc Jowett flat-four engine, one of apparently only 3 cars made.

Sadler Sports Cars

The Sadler was a sports car designed and built by Canadian born Bill Sadler in the 1950s. This is the Sadler MkIII of Julian Majzub pictured in the paddock at Oulton Park after winning the Hawthorn International Trophy race at the Hawthorn Memorial Trophies race meeting organised by the VSCC at Oulton Park in June 2008.

I remember what was probably the first occasion on which a Sadler participated in a race at Oulton Park, in the late 1950s I think, although my memory doesn't tell me which meeting it was or the date. I seem to recall that it was a club meeting, either the Mid-Cheshire Motor Racing Club or the Lancashire and Cheshire Car Club, and was probably in 1957. I took the grainy photograph below with my trusty Brownie 127 camera.

Judging by the information here it appears to be the original Sadler MkI, probably after the original Triumph TR2 engine had been replaced with a Chevrolet V8 engine.
