1970 Brabham BT28

I took this photograph at Britten's chicane during the HSCCA/FJHRA Historic Formula Junior Race at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2008.
Geoffroy Rivet in his 1970 Brabham BT28 is leading the1962 Cooper T59 of Sam Wilson and François Derossi's 1970 Chevron B17 through the the cloud of dust that had been put on an an earlier oil spill.

1963 Cooper T59

This was one of the competitors in the HGPCA Race for Pre-66 Grand Prix Cars at the Silverstone Classic meeting in July 2010.
It's Erwin van Gelder's 1963 Cooper T59, a car that was designed as a  Formula Junior car (with a 1,100cc capacity limit) but according to the programme of the event has a 1,475cc engine, presumably a Coventry Climax unit.

Cooper

I took this photograph in the paddock at the Aston Martin Owners Club's Historic Car Races meeting at Oulton Park in September 1986, but I've not been able to identify the car shown.
The programme of the event doesn't have a number 50 in the race for which the car would have been eligible - the Historic Car Championship race. John Harper's Cooper number 27 is listed for that race, but his was a green car and a T53 that I featured on 2 September 2021. The number 50 car in this photograph appears to be a Cooper T59 Formula Junior car, but despite a search of the internet I've not been able to positively identify it. The transporter behind the Cooper shows the name of John Charles who had a Connaught entered in the Historic Car Championship race, but I've not been able to ascertain if he also had a Cooper. An internet search for  Barry Simpson Engineering Ltd also produced no results.

HSCC Classic Racing Cars

I took these photographs at Britten's chicane at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2005 during a race billed as 'Classic Battles of the 1960s' and entitled the 'HSCC Classic Racing Cars for the Retro Track and Air Trophy' race. It was for single seat racing cars from various Formulas of the 1960s, although a few of the cars were from the early 1970s.
This is the 1965 F2 Brabham BT16 of Matthew Watts leading the 1969 F2 Brabham BT30 of Ian Gray.
John Bladon in his 1964 F2 Merlyn Mk9 is leading the 1972 FF Lola T200 of David Wild and the 1967 Formula Libre Brabham BT21A of Roger Bevan. I can't identify the fourth car.
Leading here is the 1970 F3 Brabham BT28 of Richard Unwin with the 1965 Formula Libre Brabham BT14 of Rodger Newman close behind. The third car is the 1963 FJ Cooper T59 of Tony Bailey followed by two cars that I can't identify.
This is the 1966 F2 Cooper T82 BRM of Paul Busby followed by a car I can't identify, then the 1970 FF Nike Mk 6 of William l'Anson and the 1966 F2 Brabham BT18 of David Crowther.

Cooper T59

This car competed in the Historic Grand Prix Car Association race at the VSCC Boulogne and Hawthorn Trophies Race Meeting at Oulton Park in May 2005.
It's the 1963 Cooper T59 driven on that day by Tony Bailey and previously campaigned by Patsy Burt, possibly the most successful British female racing driver this country has seen. You can read about her racing career in this Wikipedia article.
