I took this photograph in
Albert Square, Manchester on the first running of what became the Lancashire
Automobile Club's annual Manchester to Blackpool Veteran and Vintage Car Run in
June 1963.
The cars were flagged off by
the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Sir Robert Thomas, in front of the Town Hall to
the left of this photograph. This is the fourth car to be flagged off and is
the 1902 Wolseley of Major James Gardiner, O.B.E., J.P., a two-cylinder
model of 10 h.p.
