This car competed in the Visage Pre '72 Le Mans Car Race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in August 1996.
It's Edmond Pery's 1961 Maserati Tipo 63, a rear-engined car based on the Tipo 60 and 61 'Birdcage' Maseratis and fitted with a V12 3-litre engine developed from the 250F V12 2½ litre unit. Seven examples of the Tipo 63 were built and there's a brief history of the cars on this Maserati website.
