This is a photograph my brother took at the British Grand Prix meeting at Silverstone in July 1956.
It was taken during practice and shows Stirling Moss at the wheel of the Maserati 300S with which he won the sports car race at that meeting. In those days it wasn't unusual for drivers taking part in the Grand Prix to take part in one or more of the support races that day. I've not been able to ascertain the chassis number of this car, but the most likely candidates seem to be 3055 and 3059.
