Bugatti Type 51

I photographed this car in the paddock at the Vintage Sports Car Club's meeting at Oulton Park in August 1996.

It's Charles Dean's 1932 2.3 litre supercharged straight-8 Bugatti Type 51 and may be chassis #51126, although there is some controversy about this chassis number.

On 12 July 2017 I showed a photograph of another Bugatti Type 51 (#51146) at Silverstone in 1998.

Rolls Royce 25/30

This was one of the exhibits at the Footman James Classic Car Show Manchester at EventCity in September 2017.

It's a 1937 Rolls Royce 25/30, chassis GGR17, with a Thrupp & Maberly body and 4,345cc 6-cylinder in-line engine.

Brasier Voiture de Course

This car took part in the VSCC Edwardian Racing Cars race at the SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2007.

It's Mike Holt's 1908 Brasier Voiture De Course, powered by a 11,762cc V8 Hispano-Suiza aero engine from a WW1 Spad fighter plane.

Friday's Ferrari

This is one of the cars that was present at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017.

It's a Ferrari 458 Speciale A, a variant of the 458 Spider with a 4,497cc V8 engine and retractable hard top.

Willment-BRM

Here's a car that I photographed at the HSCC's Summer Race Meeting at Oulton Park in July 1995.

It's Anthony Taylor's 1965 Willment-BRM and it competed in the RJB Mining Championship race. The car has a 1,930cc BRM V8 engine.

On 30 July 2016 I showed a photograph of this car at Silverstone in 1999.

Bristol K5G

This was an entrant in the 'Double Deck Buses pre 1955' class at the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally at Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1995.

It's a 1939 Bristol K5G, provided new to the North Western Road Car Company Limited with fleet number 952 in May 1939, rebodied with a Willowbrook L27/26R body in November 1951 (and given the new fleet number 432), and taken out of service in July 1967. According to the DVLA it has a 7 litre diesel engine - presumably the Gardner 5-cylinder 5LW unit. The programme of the event said this:

The sole survivor of a once numerous batch of pre-war Bristols operated by the Company which were rebodied after the war. This particular vehicle received its new body in 1951. The owners claim they haven't finished exterior restoration!

The green bus alongside is a former Bury Corporation AEC Regent III, and on 31 January 2015 I showed a photograph of these two buses from the other side.

Porsche 962 K8 Spyder

This was one of the cars offered at the auction conducted by Coys of Kensington during the weekend of the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone on 31 July and 1 August 1999.

It's the 1995 Porsche 962 K8 Spyder, a car built by Kremer Racing with a 2,994cc flat-6 twin turbo engine. It appears to be chassis WSC01, the car that won the 1995 Daytona 24 Hour race in the hands of Jürgen Lässig, Christophe Bouchut, Giovanni Lavaggi and Marco Werner.
