1975 Chevron B31/36

This car took part in the RJB Mining Championship race at the Historic Sports Car Club's Summer Race Meeting at Oulton Park in July 1995, competing in the class for 2 litre Group 6 cars with Hart/BMW engines built prior to 31/12/78.
It's the 1975 Chevron B31/36 of RJB Mining and was driven in the race by Mike Wilds. The Chevron B31 was a development of the B26 and was initially fitted with a 2 litre 4 cylinder Hart engine, but other engines including Cosworth and BMW M12 units were later used.

1986 Ecosse C286

This car took part in the 2 hour long British Empire Trophy race at the Silverstone Historic Festival meeting in August 2001 driven by Mike Wilds and Gary Pearson.
It's a 1986 Ecosse C286 that competed in the C2 Class of Group C series racing in 1986 and 1987. The C286 was campaigned by the Ecurie Ecosse team and originally had a 3 litre Austin-Rover V6 engine. In the 1986 season the car gained C2 Class wins at the Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps and Fuji but at Le Mans was disqualified in the early hours of the Sunday morning for receiving outside assistance after an accident following a burst tyre. For 1987 the Austin-Rover engine was replaced by a 3,298cc V8 Ford Cosworth DFL engine and the car won the C2 Class at Silverstone and Brands Hatch. At Le Mans in 1987 the Ecosse driven by David Leslie, Ray Mallock and Marc Duez finished in eighth place overall and was second in the C2 Class to a Spice SE86C.

Chevron

These three Chevrons took part in the RJB Mining Group 6 Championship and HSCC 2 Litre Championship race at the HSCC's Summer Race Meeting at Oulton Park in July 1992.  All the photographs were taken at Lodge Corner.
This is Roger Andreason's 1973 Chevron B23, shown in the programme of the event as having a 1,995cc engine, and competing in the 'Ford BD engined Group 6 cars' class.
Gerard MacQuillan's 2 litre 1974 Chevron B31 was driven in the 'BMW and Hart engines Group 6 cars' class.
Richard Budge's 2 litre 1975 Chevron B31/36 was driven by Mike Wilds and this car also competed in the 'BMW and Hart engines Group 6 cars' class.

On 30 May 2018 I showed photographs of several Chevrons at Oulton Park in 2004.

Friday's Ferrari

Another car from the 'Coys of Kensington GT Race' at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1993.
This time it's another car I've featured before, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO of Nick Mason - in this race he shared the driving with Mike Wilds. The serial number of this car is 3757GT.
