Friday's Ferrari

This is a photograph that I took at Club corner during the Corse Clienti Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017 where there were a series of Ferrari Challenge races, and track demonstrations by F1 cars.
It’s a 2002 Ferrari F2002, a car that was raced by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello in the 2002 season and the first four races of the 2003 season, and was powered by the 3,000cc Ferrari V10 Tipo 051 engine. In 2002 Michael Schumacher won the World Drivers' Championship by winning eleven of the seventeen races with Rubens Barrichello winning four of the remaining races. The Ferrari team won the World Constructors' Championship and scored more points than all the rest of the teams put together.

Friday's Ferrari

Ferrari Corse Clienti is a Department of Ferrari, based at the Fiorano test track near Maranello, which restores and maintains Ferrari single-seaters and transports the cars to various tracks throughout the season where they can be driven by the clients. They regularly appeared at the SeeRed meetings at Donington Park and I took this photograph at the September 2004 meeting as four of the cars  came through the Craner Curves towards the Old Hairpin on one of their demonstration runs.
Leading the way is Ferrari test driver Andrea Bertolini in a Ferrari F2002 from the 2002 season, followed by Paul Osborn in a 1993 Ferrari F93A, Graham North's 1991 Ferrari 642 and, also from 1991, the Ferrari 643 of Larry Kinch.

Friday's Ferrari

The SeeRed meeting at Donington Park in September 2004 included a Ferrari display and also a track demonstration by various Ferrari Corse Clienti members. This car formed part of the display in the paddock and was also taken on several laps of the circuit by Ferrari test driver Andrea Bertolini.
It's the 3-litre V10 Ferrari F2002, one of the most successful Grand Prix cars of all time, and which was driven in the 2002 season by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. Of the 17 races in the 2002 season, Michael Schumacher won 11, with 5 second places and a third place. Rubens Barrichello won 4 races, with 5 second places and a third. The other two races were won by Ralf Schumacher in a Williams and David Coulthard in a McLaren.

Friday's Ferrari

Some more shots of the Ferrari Corse Clienti cars at Donington Park in September 2004, this time in action on the track. Not particularly good photographs as I didn't have a particularly long telephoto lens at the time. All the photographs were taken at the Old Hairpin, at the bottom of the Craner Curves.
