This car didn't take part in the racing, but was present at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2003 which celebrated the 50th anniversary of racing at the circuit.
It's the original 1951 Lotus Mk III, a car built by Colin Chapman based on an Austin 7 to compete in 750 Formula races. It proved so successful that there was a demand for copies, although only one was built, for Adam Currie, but it led to the formation of the Lotus Engineering Company.
