This is a photograph taken at the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park in August 2005. One of the races at this meeting was for the HSCC Derek Bell Trophy, and this is one of the Formula 5000 cars that took part in that race.
It's a 1974 Gurney Eagle FA74, and this is what the programme of the event said about the car:
'Californian Dan Gurney's legendary All-American Racers team was out of F1, concentrating on USAC champ cars and F5000 by the early 1970s. This striking Chevrolet-powered machine was raced by Elliott Forbes-Robinson, whose team mate was occasionally James Hunt. It is owned by former TGP race winner Ian Giles.'
