Bizzarrini 5300 GT

This was one of the competitors in the Masters 'Gentleman Drivers' GT and Sports Endurance Cars race at the Silverstone Classic meeting in July 2010.
It's a 1965 Bizzarrini 5300 GT which has a 5,328cc V8 Chevrolet engine and was driven in the one hour long race by Roger Wills and Joe Twyman. Giotto Bizzarrini, who had previously worked with Alfa Romeo and Ferrari joined forces with Renzo Rivolta to develop the Iso Rivolta GT, the Iso Grifo, and the Iso Grifo A3L and A3C. Following a disagreement with Renzo Rivolta in 1964 Giotti Bizzarrini split with Iso forming his own company and continued producing the Iso Grifo A3C which was renamed the Bizzarrini 5300 GT.

1965 McLaren M1B

This car took part in the World Sports Car Masters race at the Silverstone Classic meeting in July 2010.
It's the 1965 McLaren M1B of New Zealander Roger Wills and he shared the driving in the hour long race with Swedish driver Georg Kjallgren. The car is chassis 30/06 and has a 5½ litre Chevrolet engine, and was originally owned by US driver Marshall Brooke Doran.

Friday's Ferrari

This is a photograph I took at the Coy's International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in August 2001 and it's a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Pinin Farina Coupe.
I've found this article by Roger Wills who purchased the car in November 2001 detailing the subsequent restoration of the car during which it was re-registered from 123 MOB to 6 FER. A nice looking car and it's good to see that someone's still taking good care of it. The serial number is 1479GT.
