McLaren F1 GTR

This car was in the paddock at Silverstone at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting in 1997.

It's a 1996 McLaren F1 GTR, chassis number 12R, the car that finished in 9th place in the 1996 Le Mans 24 hour race driven by Ray Bellm, James Weaver and J J Lehto, but retired from the 1997 race when in 4th place. There's a story here about the drive in this car to Le Mans for the 1997 race.

This is a car that was on display in the paddock at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1995.

It's a McLaren F1 GTR and I think it's the car which finished in third place that year at Le Mans driven by Andy Wallace and Derek & Justin Bell. The car just visible, next to it on the right is the McLaren of Yannick Dalmas, Masanori Sekiya and JJ Lehto that won the race.
