1962 Lola Mk4

This car was driven by Marcus Pye in the Maserati UK Race for Pre-1966 Grand Prix and Tasman Cars at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1999.

It's the 1962 Lola Mk4 of Duncan Dayton that was campaigned in the 1962 season by the Bowmaker Racing Team in place of the Cooper T53 cars they had used the previous season. The Lola Mk4, like several of the other teams, used the 1,496cc V8 Coventry Climax FWMV engine and three of these cars were apparently built, this one being chassis BRGP42 that John Surtees drove in most of the Grand Prix races in the 1962 season.

1964 Brabham BT11

I took this photograph at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1999.

It's USA driver Duncan Dayton leaving the pit lane in his 1964 Brabham BT11 during a qualifying session for the Maserati UK Race for Pre-1966 Grand Prix and Tasman Cars. The BT11 was raced by the Brabham team in the 1964 and 1965 seasons, and was also raced by privateers until the 1968 season. The cars of the Brabham team were powered by a 1½ litre V8 Coventry Climax FWMV  engine, but BRM and Repco engines were also used by other teams. The best results for the car were by Dan Gurney in the 1965 season with two second place and three third place finishes leaving him in fourth position in that year's World Drivers' Championship with the Brabham team ending up in third place in the World Constructors' Championship.

1970 Brabham BT33

This car competed in the Silverstone International Trophy Race for Pre 1978 Grand Prix Cars at the Silverstone Historic Festival meeting in August 2001.

It's the 1970 Brabham BT33 of Duncan Dayton designed by Ron Tauranac and has a 2,993cc V8 Ford Cosworth DFV engine. The BT33 was driven by Jack Brabham and Rolf Stommelen in the 1970 season, Jack Brabham winning the South African Grand Prix, and with two second places and a third place he finished in sixth place in the World Drivers' Championship. Rolf Stommelen had a third place and three fifth place finishes to end up in eleventh place in the Championship. Duncan Dayton's car is chassis is BT33/1 and was driven by Rolf Stommelen that season.

Brabham BT33

This car took part in the Pre-1972 Classic Grand Prix Cars Race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1999.

It's Duncan Dayton's 3 litre Cosworth DFV-engined 1970 Brabham BT33, the car with which the Brabham team finished in 4th place in the 1970 Constructors Championship. Jack Brabham finished in 6th place in the Drivers Championship, winning one race with two second places and a third. Team mate Rolf Stommelen managed one third place and finished in 11th place in the Championship. Duncan Dayton's car is chassis #BT33/1 which was driven by Rolf Stommelen in that season.
