This is one of the cars that featured in a tribute to Ferrari at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1997, taking part in a paddock display and track demonstration.
This particular track demonstration took place during a spell of extremely wet weather, and this is a 1949 Ferrari 166 F2 car, Ferrari's first single-seat racing car, chassis #011F. The car was driven early in his career by Juan Manuel Fangio, and also by José Froilán Gonzáles, and is powered by a Gioacchino Colombo designed 1,995cc V12 engine.
