This car was driven by Gerry Porter in the Champagne Charles Heidsieck Sports Car Race at the Coys International Historic Festival meeting at Silverstone in July 1993, although it was originally built and raced as a Formula 2 car.

Loof, Georg Meier and Lorenz Dietrich formed the Veritas company in 1949 and produced
racing cars based on the BMW 328. This car is a 1949 Veritas that Karl Kling had rebodied with a streamlined body by the coachbuilding company Herbmüller, and was powered by a 6-cylinder 1,998cc Meteor engine made by Heinkel. Karl Kling had a considerable amount of success with this car in 1950.
