Sauber-Mercedes C9

Here's one of the cars that I photographed when I went to see the Donington Collection a couple of months ago.

It's a 1987 Sauber-Mercedes C9, a Group C prototype that was run by Kouros Racing in 1987 with official backing from Mercedes-Benz. The car wasn't very successful in that season but when Mercedes-Benz took over the running of the team the next year several victories were achieved and they went on to dominate the World Sports Car Championship in 1989.
