I took this photograph at the Greater
Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally at Heaton
Park, Manchester in September 1993.
It’s a
1950 Leyland Titan PD2/1, new to Leicester City Transport, and the programme of
the event said this about it:

Following a service life of twenty years, this
vehicle passed through the hands of a strawberry picking farmer and was left
for three years in a field before being rescued by Leicester City Transport and
restored.
