I remember that race of Cliff Allison's, he finished in 4th place in the 1958 Belgian Grand Prix and if it had lasted one more lap he might have won. Tony Brooks won the race in a Vanwall, but his gearbox seized on the finishing straight. Mike Hawthorn finished second and his engine failed as he crossed the finish line, while Stuart Lewis-Evans in his Vanwall had his suspension collapse as he rounded the last corner and limped over the line to finish third.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03958274012756804516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-605049788254081434.post-35969882949284543282015-11-20T08:13:39.846+00:002015-11-20T08:13:39.846+00:00You are right about the Transporter, but the car w...You are right about the Transporter, but the car was certainly not a replica, this car was the first Lotus to win world championship points for Lotus Driven by the late Cliff Allison, regards Roger FriendAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15934900384763306426noreply@blogger.com
